Project Description

Project involved the development of a detailed Testing and Commissioning Program for the 100MW wind farm project, followed by staffing the testing and commissioning team and managing and carrying out the detailed field testing activities in connection with all primary and secondary electrical equipment and systems from 138kV down to and including the lowest utilization voltages, followed by the preparation of a comprehensive testing and commissioning report and as-built documentation.

Scope of Work

The specific scope of the project included the following elements:

  • Coordinated meetings with NSPI and with the wind farm developer, to organize in general terms, the testing and commissioning program
  • Prepared a detailed testing and commissioning program for all electrical aspects of the project except for the wind turbine-generators; included the  three breaker 138kV switching station, two transformer, 120MVA  138kV-34.5kV intertie substation, and a four-circuit, 34.5kV generation collection system, and all associated power systems, protection, control, metering, and SCADA interfaces
  • As the testing and commissioning agent, provided testing and commissioning team and implemented a detailed electrical testing and commissioning and operational testing program for the switching station, the intertie substation and generation collection system.
